Law Enforcement Instructor certificates for rifle and shotgun.

     Recently I obtained certification through the NRA as a Basic Pistol Instructor, along with becoming a Certified Glock Pistol Armorer. Check back often because I plan to add additional classes and services for a variety of choices that can be offered to you.

    As you might be able to tell I enjoy learning about shooting as well as teaching it.

      Also included in this endeavor is my wife Marsha Moore, without whose help and support this undertaking would be extremely difficult. Marsha may be a little more behind the scenes but only because she's probably looking for the stray critter to help out. Marsha is an Army veteran, a veterinary technician and registered nurse. What a combination. She will assist me with classes and earplugs as needed and she's also a great resource if you have a critter or health question.

The NRA's Three Fundamental Rules for Safe Gun Handling are:

     1. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.

    2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready 

         to shoot.

    3. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

In December of 2013 our first Concealed Carry Class was held and the students were able to apply for their license on Jan. 1, 2014 when Illinois began accepting CC applications.     

On Feb. 20, 2015 Blue Heart Training moved into it's new building at 615 N. Delmar Ave. in Hartford Illinois.

In Nov. 2015 My wife, Marsha and I traveled to Boulder Colorado and received training through E.A.R. Inc. in making custom molded silicone earplugs. We did this to offer quality hearing protection to students or anyone else needing this service. As of Jan. 2021 we have attended several gun shows, safety events and acquired multiple commercial accounts resulting in 3500+ pairs of earplugs made.  

In mid/late 2018 classes in the area slowed down and I was forced to downsize and give up the building...but not the business.  Classes and earplugs still available.

     Thanks for checking out my web site for BLUE HEART TRAINING. This site is for those interested in getting their Concealed Carry Permit issued through the State of Illinois. It's also for those who might not be interested in getting a Concealed Carry Permit, but still want to learn more about safe gun handling or improving their shooting skills.

     For those in loud environments I make custom molded silicone earplugs. These are made for the individual (NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL) and are great for any shooting enthusiasts, industrial environments, and anyone wanting to protect their hearing from lawn mowers, compressors, grinders, racing sports, concert goers etc..
